The Institute has a Directorate of Research and
Publication (DOR) under the Dean?s office, which supports and strengthens
research activities through its coordinated efforts of research and publication
at the Institute.
Basically the DOR facilitates all the necessary technical
and financial activities to the research projects executed by its faculties. To
this effect several National funded as well as internationally supported
research projects are being undertaken through the DOR. A Directorate of
Extension (DOE) has also been established to carry out extension service in the
district. A separate wing of DOE, known as Social Mobilization, Experimentation
and Learning Centre (SMELC) prepares social mobilizes and local facilitators
for poverty reduction and village development program of the nation by
providing short-term basic and refresher trainings. These activities are
directly linked with the poverty reduction programs of the country.
The Institute has two other campuses IAAS, Lamjung
Campus, at Sundar Bazar, Lamjung, and IAAS, Paklihawa Campus at Bhairahawa,
Rupendehi. Both of the campuses run B.Sc.Ag. Program for the first two years of
the four year program.
